Monthly Prize Puzzle (June 2019)

A Puzzle by Radler

– + – + – + – + – + – + – + – + – + – + – + – + – + – + – + – +

In the completed grid, the cells along the top and bottom rows will contain the jumbled letters of the first five words (3,3,6,2,2) of a six-word expression. The sixth word is one of the answers. A clue to the entire expression may be found in one of the diagonals (13 letters).

Solvers should provide the six-word expression to enter the competition.

+ – + – + – + – + – + – + – + – + – + – + – + – + – + – + – + – +

Solvers should enter the expression, and nothing else, in the answer box below.  There is no need to send a completed grid or solution, or to explain your answer. Closing date for entries is midnight on June 15th 2019. The winner will receive their choice of any of the Telegraph Crossword Books. In the event of two or more entries being received from the same solver all of these entries will be disqualified, except that mistakes can be corrected by using the box below and clearly requesting that the earlier entry be withdrawn. The winner will be drawn at random from the correct entries. Editor’s decision is final.

Please note that, due to punitive postal charges, while the competition is open to all, the prize is only available to UK solvers.

A review will be published after the closing date.
